Defense Edge is a fraud predictor system designed to identify fraudulent activity at an early stage. The system tracks a cardholder’s spending patterns and may contact you if/when changes in the pattern occur. If you are contacted, Defense Edge states that they are calling for transaction review and will ask you to verify recent credit or debit card activity. You will not be asked to provide your credit or debit card number, social security, or other vital information. You may always call Dominion Energy Credit Union directly. If we are unable to contact you, a hold may be placed on your credit/debit account.
You may also sign up for fraud alert text messages on your credit card. Log into Online Banking, click "Account Services," "Card Alerts," and then sign up. Or click on "View My Visa" and set up text messages under "Fraud Alerts."
