Dominion Credit Union became Dominion Energy Credit Union upon member approval on June 7, 2017. We have begun rolling out our new brand and will continue to update this page and members as we have updates. Here’s what you can expect to change.
We’re excited to introduce our new name, Dominion Energy Credit Union! The name change was made official by member vote at the credit union’s Annual Meeting of Members on June 7, 2017. Over the next few months, we will continue to make updates to reflect the new brand. As the credit union for Dominion employees and their families, it only made sense to create a unified presence as Dominion updated their name to Dominion Energy.
One thing that hasn’t changed is our commitment to our members and superior customer service. Since 1940, we’ve stayed true to our mission of improving your financial well-being by offering products and services that benefit you while making banking easy and affordable while going the extra mile for our members.
Dominion Energy Credit Union’s New Website
To reflect our new name, logo and brand, we have updated our website’s look and feel, and website address.
As we continue to make progress on the many updates that we need to make, we will continue to communicate any new information to you on this page to keep you informed during the transition. Stay tuned!
The great rates and service that you have always loved about your credit union will remain the same. Over the next several months, as we work to complete this transition, you will see visual updates such as new signage at our branches, general cosmetic changes to our website and online banking sites, as well as a new look for our Mobile App and social media platforms.
No – your member number and account number(s) will remain the same, in addition to all of your products and services. You may choose to update your online bookmark with the credit union’s new website URL, DominionEnergyCU.org, however, the old credit union web address will continue to take you to our new website as well.
The Dominion Energy CU Mobile App will continue to operate as before and you will not be required to re-download it. However, the icon on your phone itself will have a new look. If your device is setup for automatic updates, you will soon see the new logo and name when you log in. If your device is set for manual updates, you can download those updates at your convenience.
You can begin writing your loan payment checks to Dominion Energy Credit Union. However, checks made to Dominion Credit Union will continue to be honored throughout this transition.
Your current card(s) will continue to work, and you will not be required to order replacements. When your current card expires, you will receive your new card with our new name and logo on it.
All credit reporting agencies have been notified about our name change. Therefore, your loan(s) with us will not appear twice on your credit report. They will appear as: Dominion Energy Credit Union.
All direct deposits, payroll deductions, automatic drafts and other ACH services are transmitted using the Credit Union’s Routing and Transit number and your account number. Since these numbers have not changed, your payments will also process without any change.
Yes – you may continue to use your current checks. When you reorder your new checks, they will then include our new Dominion Energy Credit Union name and logo.
Since our routing number will not change, any payments via check, online deposit, or other means, made out to Dominion Energy Credit Union will continue to be accepted. We do encourage you to change the name on any payments to Dominion Energy Credit Union.
Some information will stay the same, but some will change. While our branch addresses, phone numbers, and fax numbers will remain the same, our email has changed to firstname.lastname@example.org and our website is now DominionEnergyCU.org. Emails sent to the old address will automatically be forwarded to the new addresses, and the website will redirect from the old site.
Your User Name and Password for online access to your accounts will remain the same and you will not be required to change it. You will only see minor cosmetic changes to the site that will include our new name and logo.
